Kasper Sorensen’s practice focuses on civil litigation with an emphasis upon complex business matters including intellectual property right controversies. Mr. Sorensen’s past experience includes acting as a civil litigator and legal analyst in matters involving commercial disputes under state and federal law, as well as participating in various alternative dispute resolution forums and both strategizing and briefing matters at the appellate level.
Prior to joining Conrad Scherer, Mr. Sorensen litigated complex commercial matters as an associate with the Miami firm of Russell Law Offices, P.A., and as a staff attorney with Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker, L.L.P, of Los Angeles. Mr. Sorensen also achieved significant litigation experience in the areas of intellectual property, copyright infringement, and trademark dilution while in the role of intellectual property intern at the New York City firm of Dowd & Marotta, P.C.
Kasper Sorensen has been honored to intern for the Honorable Marc Finkelstein in the Housing Court, Civil Court of the City of New York, Kings County. Kasper has also acted as business and legal affairs intern for EMI/Virgin Records America, Inc., where his work focused upon clearance rights, copyright issues, licensing agreements, and other business concerns related to the creation and protection of intellectual property rights.
