Ms. Scherer is an attorney in the Governmental Relations and Litigation practices of the firm. Her government relations practice includes land development and public policy. Ms. Scherer has helped clients obtain the necessary approvals to accomplish the desired development, including land use plan amendments, site plan approvals, plat note amendments, unit allocation and sign variances. In the public policy realm, Ms. Scherer counsels clients in regard to interactions with public officials and government staff. She has also been involved in planning and coordinating fundraisers for various Broward County judges and City of Fort Lauderdale commissioners.

Her civil litigation practice focuses on commercial litigation and family law.  Ms. Scherer has represented clients through dissolutions of marriage, child custody and time sharing, and post-judgment modifications.

As a native of Florida, Ms. Scherer received her law degree from the University of Miami School of Law and her undergraduate degree from the Florida State University, where she graduated cum laude. While in law school, Ms. Rodriguez Garrigo was an active member in various campus organizations, including, H.O.P.E., University of Miami's School of Law Mentoring Program, and the University of Miami's School of Law Ambassador Program. Most notably, Ms. Scherer was an executive board member of the Society of Bar and Gavel and a certified legal intern with the Legal Aid Society of Dade Bar Association.

Ms. Scherer currently serves on the American Heart Association’s Broward PULSE committee, a group of local young professionals working to build a strong commitment to heart health in the next generation of community leaders.

Ms. Scherer was a paralegal with Conrad & Scherer prior to becoming an Associate at the firm.
