Inspiring Young Minds: Conrad & Scherer’s “Book Buddies” Brings I Am Superman to Deerfield Beach Elementary

We’re excited to continue sharing our love of reading through Conrad & Scherer’s Book Buddies program. On Friday, October 24, 2025, our attorneys will visit Deerfield Beach Elementary School to read I Am Superman by New York Times best-selling author Brad Meltzer to 215 fourth and fifth grade students.

Each student will receive their own brand-new, autographed copy of I Am Superman, donated by our firm. The book, part of Meltzer’s beloved Ordinary People Change the World series, reminds children that real heroes come from ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things.

We’re especially honored that Brad Meltzer will join the celebration through a special video message, personally introducing the story and inspiring students to discover their own inner superhero. Our attorneys will then visit classrooms to read aloud, connect with students, and share in the joy that comes from a great story.

Strengthening Our Community Through Literacy

At Conrad & Scherer, we believe that reading is the foundation for lifelong learning and empowerment. We created Book Buddies to connect with students, encourage imagination, and help foster a love of reading that extends beyond the classroom.

This year’s event is hosted in coordination with Broward County Public Schools, which will also be holding its Super Reader celebration for first through third graders that same morning. Together, these efforts celebrate education and community partnership across all grade levels.
