Steven Osber is a Senior Partner at Conrad & Scherer’s Fort Lauderdale office, where he brings nearly 30 years of experience in commercial and business litigation. He earned his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law School in 1996 and his Bachelor of Science from the State University of New York at Albany in 1989.

Steven’s practice encompasses a diverse array of complex legal matters, including partnership and shareholder disputes, commercial evictions, real estate, and construction litigation. Known for his tactical approach and comprehensive understanding of business dynamics, he has successfully represented clients in numerous high-stakes cases, demonstrating a commitment to achieving favorable results through careful planning and tenacious advocacy.

Steven was also part of the lead trial team in the Gopher v. Wells Fargo case, which resulted in a historic $1.1+ billion jury verdict in 2025, the largest in Florida’s history against a solvent bank or public company. This landmark case, representing approximately 2,000 children of the Seminole Tribe of Florida, exposed significant breaches of fiduciary duty and financial misconduct, reinforcing the firm’s commitment to high-stakes advocacy.

In addition to his role as a litigator, Steven serves as outside general counsel to various businesses, providing ongoing legal guidance, helping business leaders navigate regulatory challenges, contractual matters, and operational issues. His advisory role includes strategic counsel on risk management and compliance, positioning clients to make informed decisions that protect and advance their interests.

Steven’s litigation portfolio is extensive, with over 100 state and federal jury and non-jury trials, as well as experience in binding arbitration. His work spans all phases of the litigation process, from initial case evaluation through to trial and appeals, ensuring clients are represented with depth and continuity at every step. He has advocated for clients in Florida appellate courts, achieving numerous successful reported decisions.

Outside his legal practice, Steven is actively involved in the community. He is a leader in the Big Dog Golf Committee with the Humane Society of Broward County, supporting animal welfare and community initiatives. As a long-standing member of the Broward Bench and Bar Committee and a multiple-term Chair of the Florida Bar Grievance Committee, he demonstrates a commitment to service that extends beyond the courtroom.
