Empowering Tomorrow’s Leaders: Conrad & Scherer’s Spring 2024 Book Buddies Event

We eagerly await our upcoming Book Buddies event at Plantation Elementary School on May 17, 2024. This event is part of our ongoing effort to promote literacy and provide engaging educational opportunities for students.

Event Details

From 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM, students at Plantation Elementary, located at 651 NW 42nd Ave, Plantation, FL, will receive autographed copies of “I Am Superman” by Brad Meltzer. The book is part of his popular Ordinary People Change the World series. Brad Meltzer has contributed a special video message that will be played at the event to introduce the book to the students.

Participation of Local Heroes

The event is a collaborative effort supported by Levine Kellogg Lehman Schneider + Grossman (LKLSG) as a co-sponsor, with additional support from Hands On South Florida, who will provide superhero capes and volunteers. The local community, including Broward County Public Schools, Plantation Elementary, and members from the Plantation City Council, Police Department, and Fire Department, will also play significant roles in the day’s activities. These partnerships highlight the community’s united effort to foster a love for reading among the students.

Purpose of the Book Buddies Program

The Book Buddies program, initiated by Conrad & Scherer, aims to encourage reading and provide students with access to new books. Events like these play a crucial role in inspiring students and providing them with the resources to develop their reading skills.
