Bill co-founded Conrad & Scherer in 1974 with a mission to provide strong advocacy and client-focused solutions. Over the decades, he has transformed the firm from a small practice into one of Florida’s leading legal organizations. Today, the firm operates in New York, North Carolina, and Ecuador, demonstrating the growth achieved under his guidance.

• Rothstein Ponzi Scheme Recovery
  Bill led the legal fight for victims of Scott Rothstein’s Ponzi scheme, one of the largest in history. His efforts resulted in a record-breaking settlement, recovering a significant percentage of funds for investors.
• 2000 Presidential Election Recount
  During the contested 2000 U.S. Presidential election, Bill represented President George W. Bush. He managed the Broward County recount process, ensuring fairness during a critical and highly publicized moment in history.
• Historic Jury Verdicts
  In 2005, Bill secured one of Broward County’s largest jury verdicts in a case involving the sale of a health insurance company. His ability to navigate complex commercial disputes set a new standard for excellence in litigation.

Dedication Beyond The Courtroom

Bill’s impact extends beyond his legal practice. He has served as General Counsel for the North Broward Hospital District and contributed to the community through several key roles. His appointments to multiple Judicial Nominating Commissions demonstrate his commitment to upholding integrity in the legal system.

Additionally, Bill has worked to improve Fort Lauderdale’s urban landscape through his involvement with the Downtown Development Authority. He also served as president of the Federal Bar Association’s Broward County Chapter, where he advocated for the legal profession’s advancement.
