Kirk R. vonHilsheimer is a Senior Associate at Conrad & Scherer’s Fort Lauderdale office, where he plays a critical role in the firm’s complex commercial litigation practice. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and his Bachelor of Arts from Duke University.

Kirk has represented clients in significant commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, business torts, and construction claims. He was part of the legal team that secured a historic $1.1+ billion jury verdict in Gopher v. Wells Fargo, the largest in Florida’s history against a solvent bank or public company. This landmark case, representing approximately 2,000 children of the Seminole Tribe of Florida, exposed significant breaches of fiduciary duty and financial misconduct, reinforcing the firm’s commitment to high-stakes advocacy.

Kirk’s work includes enforcing mechanic’s liens, resolving contract disputes for property owners and contractors, and protecting public access to information under Florida’s Sunshine Law, Fla. Stat. 119. He also has experience in probate litigation, challenging wills based on undue influence and testamentary capacity, ensuring the integrity of estate processes.

As a Senior Associate, Kirk manages substantial responsibilities in case preparation and strategy, often collaborating with partners to advance clients’ interests in complex commercial disputes.
